Acclaimed bluegrass band The Often Herd bring their vibrant transatlantic sound to Kirkcaldy for a night of high-energy live music.
Blending tight vocal harmonies, dazzling instrumental interplay and driving rhythms, the band push beyond traditional bluegrass while keeping the genre’s spirit at their core. Inspired by the landscapes and culture of Northern England, their sound combines American string-band roots with contemporary folk influences.
Since the release of their debut album Where The Big Lamp Shines in 2022, the band have performed at major festivals including Cambridge Folk Festival, Moseley Folk and Underneath the Stars, and have toured internationally from Portugal to the USA.
Their latest single “Cool Summer Rain” showcases an evolving sound, mixing bluegrass precision with West Coast harmonies and folk-pop hooks.
Praised for their musicianship and originality, The Often Herd deliver an exciting live performance packed with energy, virtuosity and unforgettable songs.
