Gain your REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate with this practical, accredited one-day course designed for anyone working with food in Scotland.
Whether you’re employed in hospitality, catering, food retail, food production, or volunteering in a community food project, this course provides essential knowledge to help you meet legal food safety requirements and handle food safely and confidently.
What the course covers:
• Introduction to food hygiene
• Bacteria and how they spread
• Food poisoning and prevention
• Personal hygiene and safe food handling
• The working environment
• Food pests and control
• Effective cleaning practices
• HACCP and food legislation
The course runs for 7 hours and includes a multiple-choice assessment to achieve certification. Successful participants will receive the REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate (Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland).
This training is delivered by accredited tutors at Greener Kirkcaldy, an approved REHIS training centre.
