An incredibly powerful evening with journalist and writer Jen Stout, as she shares firsthand accounts from reporting on the war in Ukraine.

Over the past three years, Jen has brought the conflict home to readers in Scotland through evocative frontline reporting. Originally from Shetland, she was living in Moscow when the full-scale invasion began, later travelling to Romania and Ukraine to cover the refugee exodus and ongoing war as a freelance journalist.

Her stories span military hospitals, underground bunkers and the lives of ordinary people navigating extraordinary circumstances.

This talk explores identity, history, hope and fear in modern Europe - and will be illustrated with her own striking images from wartime Ukraine.

A thought-provoking and deeply human evening of storytelling and journalism.
