🎬 About the Production
This powerful new stage play is inspired by the real-life 1981 Lee Jeans factory sit-in in Greenock, when women workers fought back against factory closure and job losses.
Facing the threat of 240 jobs disappearing, the women barricaded themselves inside the factory and staged a protest that lasted seven months - becoming a defining moment in Scottish labour history.
The production combines:
Authentic stories and voices
Real historical events
Themes of solidarity, resilience, and justice
A live 1980s soundtrack
Described as:
“A true story powered by an 80s soundtrack.”
